SENIOR MOBILE AND WEB APP DEVELOPER

You will work closely with the Product and Marketing team to build an extremely intuitive, feature-rich and cutting-edge application. You will also be leading interactions with our technical partners and the integration specialist to ensure seamless integration with all systems that the mobile app and the web interface connect to.

Savvii Group Inc. is searching for a mobile and web app developer to build and oversee a digital interface including but not limited to a mobile application and a web platform. You will work closely with the Product and Marketing team to build an extremely intuitive, feature-rich and cutting-edge application. You will also be leading interactions with our technical partners and the integration specialist to ensure seamless integration with all systems that the mobile app and the web interface connect to.

Your Role:

You will be working as a Senior Mobile and App Developer who will be expected to own the entire development life cycle of the mobile and web application and work with internal stakeholders to optimize customer experience and journey ensuring a consistent omnichannel experience. Your closest ally in the build will be our UI/UX specialist with whom you will be expected to collaborate and bring to life the end product. You will also perform ongoing upgrades and enhancements as and when new products are made live. The job will require you to have an understanding of cards and payments technical architecture and design process flows and journeys.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategize, develop and test mobile and web applications for the entire enterprise suite of financial services. The expectation will be to initially work with vendors on the alignment of developing protocols and the selection of programming tools and languages.
  • Develop front-end code based on wireframes, visual designs, and UX specifications ensuring an omnichannel experience around all web and mobile touchpoints. The developer will work with the product and marketing team to ensure a mobile-first application development strategy with the experience adopted across the web.
  • Responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing software and system test requirements. This includes detailed design, coding, unit integration and testing.
  • Closely liaise with the UI/UX team to ensure optimized and intuitive user experience right at the design stage and finally capture the entire customer experience journey through wire frame mocks-ups displayed in a visually sophisticated environment.
  • Lead and take ownership over the quality of code, conduct ongoing testing and ensure bug-free deployment across iOS, play store and the web.
  • Understand and remain complaint with iOS, play store and web deployment procedures, protocols and timelines.
  • Own the entire application testing journey ensuring test scripts are written, conduct regression testing and obtain approvals prior to deployment in production.
  • Required to identify and put in place mitigants for possible security threats, viruses, or errors that might hinder optimal application performance.
  • Possess knowledge of the latest technology trends, programming protocols and languages to keep the application as innovative as possible.
  • Create and maintain a detailed QA testing plan, and logs as well as set up processes and SLAs internally and with third parties around upgrades and/or outages.
  • Work with the Product team to lead weekly sprint planning sessions, and daily stand-ups and ensure comprehensive project tracking.
  • Ability to map multiple technologies using architectural diagrams and finally decide on the optimal choice of code required for the development. The key would be to select languages that remain robust and scalable in the everchanging fintech environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as an application developer with a bank or a financial institute. Fintech experience would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to write code in multiple programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python etc).
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and core programming principles including the ability to strategize and design customer-facing interactive touchpoints.
  • Proficiency with project tracking software, such as Jira.
  • Certifications in application development or UI/UX will be an advantage.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to use Visio or other tools for process flows and designs.
  • Skilled in MS Office.
