Your Role:

Ultimately, this role will help to find simple ways to empower members to feel in complete control of their financial health each day.

This role will report to the Heads of Product, and Credit Cards with a lot of interaction/visibility with the senior leadership team and CEO.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the loyalty and rewards program vision, strategy, value proposition, end-to-end customer journey and roadmap, including securing external partner and technology partnerships.
  • Oversee the loyalty and rewards program and grow the program’s revenues, ensuring a strong competitive position with target market segments and optimizing the program’s profitability by managing the levers of the selling price per point, cost per point, breakage, membership growth, program penetration, member engagement and partner use.
  • Sells to and grows the portfolio of loyalty partners and optimizes the profitability of each partnership. In collaboration with Product and Marketing, develops and executes marketing programs in support of each partnership and payment card.
  • The key objective of this role is to drive customer acquisition and frequency, by harnessing the power of a win/win strategic partner across multiple industries (Retail, Attractions, Travel, and Delivery Aggregators). Priorities include partnership identification, negotiation, and articulation of what platforms are necessary to bring the relationship to the market.
  • Lead annual business planning for partners, including ownership of KPIs and budgets.  Define partner objectives and work collaboratively across the SAVVII Plus rewards ecosystem to identify and deliver initiatives, programs and experiences that help partners achieve those objectives. Track and review performance against Plan.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the loyalty and rewards program (web content, platform-driven communications, functional enhancements, supply chain management, cross-functional team support).  Support Vendor Management functions, ensuring vendors deliver against contractual obligations and meet agreed-upon SLAs.
  • Oversee regular business performance reviews and work with Analytics partners to translate analysis into relevant business insights for partners and internal teams. Provide data-driven recommendations for program enhancements, modifications and marketing strategies that drive business objectives and share shifts for partners.
  • Act as the central relationship lead for partners and function as the subject matter expert on our partner’s business, managing intake of requests and proactively identifying areas of impact and opportunity.
  • Conduct detailed business casing to evaluate new opportunities, assess P&L impact and deliver well-informed strategic recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of customer insights and competitive trends in loyalty to ensure our partner offerings remain relevant to our customer value proposition. Support business development activities as required.
  • Provide support in loyalty points reconciliation/attestation for all internal business units and new programs, maintaining ongoing alignment with Audit/Regulatory controls requirements.
  • Manage vendors and ensure invoices and supporting documentation are received to complete accurate reconciliation and share with appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Partners with Finance department to ensure accurate recording and planning of expenses/accruals and maintains systems/records for analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education required (Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in product management (credit card), payments, key account/partnership management, or loyalty is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Canadian FinTech or Financial Services marketplace and a solid understanding of credit and deposit products and services.
  • Exposure to customer acquisition and account management in a previous role.
  • A detailed understanding of financial product financials with prior P&L management experience is an asset.
